Slashgeo site closing
July 5, 2007
This is very very sad. I loved being able to just check one rss feed and get an overview of geo stories. I’m not a geospatial professional, and probably never will be, but as a developer and researcher working in the field, this was an invaluable resource for me, and one that I checked daily.
So long, and thanks.

Up the toilet
November 14, 2006
Sooo, in a quest to find useful mapping applications and examples on-line, I stumbled across the Australian Public Toilet Map. Now I recognise that this is a useful service – particularly for people with continence isssues (or young children), – and I thought that the trip planner could be an especially useful tool – it still made me snigger!
We have a student working on trying to get our SOS information visible in GoogleMaps at the moment. That will be pretty cool if we get it to work.
